Medical Training and Academic Background Dr. Will began his career in refractive surgery in the early 1990s. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and National Deans List and selected as Chief Resident at the prestigious Eye Institute at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Will was promptly appointed as the Project Director for the International Institute for Advanced Laser Surgery. There, he became involved in several FDA clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of refractive laser and implant modalities. He became one of the first surgeons in North America to perform the LASIK procedure. Dr. Will is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is Adjunct Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, as well as Adjunct Clinical Professor at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Ophthalmology Management. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. A Pioneer in Vision Correction Procedures As part of his career, Dr. Will began performing laser vision correction over 25 years ago, longer than any surgeon in the Pacific Northwest. In Washington and Oregon, Dr. Will’s extensive refractive surgery experience encompasses over 75,000 successful laser vision procedures. Dr. Brian Will is one of the country’s leading refractive surgeons, and his clinical and scientific contributions have helped refine vision correction procedures which have improved the vision of millions of people. Throughout his 30 years of medical practice – and in his numerous contributions to the evolution of laser eye surgery – Dr. Will’s passion has always been for the quality of care, safety, and well-being of his patients.
